Computer Association of Eastern India, popularly known as COMPASS, is an association of IT entrepreneurs of Eastern India that has been fostering the sustainable growth of the IT industry since 1996. Being headquartered at Kolkata, it has 450+ members across Eastern India.
COMPASS actively works & lobbies with both State & Central Government on policy & other relevant issues in the interest of the industry. Through its various initiatives, it has been facilitating in cohesive coordination among stakeholders, improving market reach, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities.
COMPASS is actively involved in organizing trade shows, seminars, conference, workshops and industry relevant events. In addition, some of the fellowship events including the Annual Cricket Carnival and Diwali Meet are among the most awaited ones. In addition, COMPASS also actively participate in industry specific events of other associations.
Through a robust communication system, members are always in the loop especially for statutory circulars and updates. The ‘Grievance Cell’ helps members in resolving both internal and external disputes.
With the growing segmentation and specialization in the IT sector, the challenges are different and diverse. To serve its members better, COMPASS has initiated to form multiple, ‘Special Interest Groups’ (SIG) and to get this started, following have been formed:
